Diagnostic
For when something has broken open and you need to understand what is actually happening before you make another move that compounds the damage.
Where This EndsAt understanding. Not at a decision. Diagnostic names what is actually happening and dates the turn. It does not tell you what to do next — that requires constraints this instrument doesn’t ask for. If you need the decision too, that’s Wayfinder Life.
In plain termsA short written assessment, built from five systems run separately and shown separately, that names which passage you are actually in and dates when it turns. A 15-minute call afterward confirms the read and answers what’s unclear. Most people read the report and take the call the same week they order.
Written from your intake, your timing, your chart, and your actual decision point.
This is the right instrument when…
Something has broken open and you are in active collapse or acute uncertainty. The structure failed. The map stopped working. You need to know what is actually happening – not what to do next.
You need the active pattern named before you act from it again. The next move from a disoriented frame only compounds the problem. This report reads what is structurally happening before you force another wrong decision.
Making another move that compounds the damage. Another decision from the same frame that produced the collapse. Another cycle that starts with action and ends with more confusion than you entered with.
Not for when you need the decision made rather than the location named. That is Wayfinder Life — a separate, complete instrument in its own right.
What you leave with
You leave with the eight-page field report, the method shown transparently at every step, and a session to walk through what it found.
Not a longer version of a $30 report
A cheap automated report can be genuinely good at describing your chart. Diagnostic is not competing on how much of that it gives you for more money. It is built to answer one question: what is actually happening in your life right now, and is it holding up when checked from five directions at once.
If you are trying to decide between an automated report and a human-reviewed one, see the full comparison — with the specific gaps we found testing three of the automated products against Diagnostic, point by point.
Compare Wayfinder to Automated Reports →Five methods that cannot see each other.
The weakness of any single symbolic reading is that one interpreter working in one vocabulary can find almost anything. A reading that feels accurate proves nothing on its own.
The Diagnostic is built to remove that latitude. Each system is run separately, from different inputs and different methods, and each one is shown on its own page with its technical basis exposed. Only then does the convergence section set them side by side. Some methods describe the condition. Some describe the decision mechanism. The timing methods describe when the pressure changes. Convergence is claimed only where those findings genuinely overlap — not because every method happens to use similar language. In a typical report, two or three of the five independently name the same window; the others contribute the mechanism and the condition rather than another vote on the date.
Where they disagree, nothing gets named. That silence is part of the method rather than a gap in it. More on the reasoning behind this on the methodology page.
The methods are not claimed to be independent.
Gene Keys is built on the Human Design hexagram structure, which draws from the I Ching, and astrology runs through both — the report says so directly, not as a footnote. What they do not share is method: one reads moving bodies against fixed points, one reads a fixed period sequence, one reads archetypes by birth position, one reads decision mechanics, one reads arithmetic.
Agreement across different methods about one specific person is what counts as evidence here — not agreement produced by five sources hearing the same story. Every calculation is finished before your intake is read, which is what makes a report falsifiable instead of just plausible.
What the report looks like
A real artifact, written for one person. Below are panels from an actual Wayfinder Diagnostic report – the cover and convergent pattern, a single system read with its technical basis shown, and the convergence spread with the near-term windows.

What changes when the terrain becomes legible
The weeks-long loop of circling the same decision breaks, replaced by a named condition and a clear decision horizon.
The cost of one wrong month – in energy, in compounding confusion, in deferred action – easily exceeds the cost of this report. Most people in this position make their next move on instinct, from fear dressed as practicality, and that move often repeats the exact pattern that produced the collapse. The deeper return here is not practical. It is the relief of finally knowing what is actually happening, before you act from the wrong frame again.
The sequence
Secure your orientation. No account required to begin. You receive the intake form immediately after checkout.
Complete birth data and threshold questions. Allow 20–40 minutes. This is where the synthesis begins – your specific moment put on paper before any analysis occurs.
Your report is prepared through convergence analysis and human editorial review. Chart calculations and cross-system mapping run programmatically in minutes. The synthesis, the human reasoning that turns data into orientation, is where the day goes. Written specifically for your intake context.
Report delivered within 1–2 business days of completed intake. The document names the pattern, the phase, and what this specific threshold requires before you can move.
A 15-minute live call to confirm the read and answer what’s unclear in the report. Scheduled after delivery.
How the reading works
The reading moves in three stages: a structured intake in your own words, each system read independently, then a converged synthesis you can trace back to its sources.
Before any synthesis begins, you put your specific moment on paper: what has happened and where it has left you, in your own words. Three words for how this actually feels. The patterns you already recognise in yourself. And what you want to be true on the other side of this. This is a decision-specific lived-context intake, not a personality quiz — it asks about the threshold you are standing at, not your general traits.
Those answers are quoted back to you in the report. The opening section is built from your language, not paraphrased into ours, because the point is to show you the pattern inside what you already said.
Two people born in the same city at the same hour with identical charts will receive completely different reports – because the systems reveal architecture, and only the intake reveals where that architecture is being tested right now.
Wayfinder calculates five systems – Western Astrology, Vedic Astrology, Human Design, Gene Keys, and Numerology – separately, from your birth data alone, before your intake is read. They are not independent in origin, and this document does not claim otherwise. What they do not share is method. Agreement across different methods about one specific person is what counts as evidence. Where the systems disagree, nothing is named.
Is this evidence-based?
The five systems are not scientifically validated as predictive tools, and this report does not claim otherwise. The most rigorous test of astrology ever run, published in Nature in 1985, found no predictive validity above chance; Human Design, Gene Keys, and numerology have essentially no peer-reviewed evidence base in either direction. What is evidence-based is the process this report is built from: a structured intake in your own words, five independently calculated reads synthesized by a person, and a session to test what landed. Structured self-reflection and human-reviewed coaching both have measurable, peer-reviewed effects on decision confidence and goal clarity — the category this instrument sits inside.

I built Wayfinder in the wreckage of a chapter that did not go the way I thought it would. Fifteen years in a chiropractic practice. A wellness center built from conviction, closed in less than two years. Two hundred job applications. A wife battling Lyme disease. A house we nearly lost. I had tried the maps. I needed the stairs.
“I asked a different question: what happens when five systems, built in different languages and traditions, are calculated separately and still point to the same underlying pattern? Not five separate readings. One convergence.”
Wayfinder is built from a repeatable synthesis process: intake mapping, chart analysis, convergence extraction, timing review, decision translation, and human editorial review.
“I love the extended version. I really feel as though this gives me a map with steps to follow. This experience also brought to light some of the patterns I had been doing that I kind of recognized, but after reading through all of this, I really recognized them. I am going to follow this and flow with this timeline.”– Kristin R. · Wayfinder client
“There are key pieces that grab my attention, and I am drawn toward moments with ‘yes’ or ‘ah-ha.’ I really like the ah-ha moments I have read — and this is why I want to know more about my life factors that bring me to these moments in life, and how the guide sees these as not coincidental.”– David D. · Wayfinder client
This is not step one of something bigger
Diagnostic, Life, and Extended are each a separate, complete instrument, built for a different endpoint. If you later decide you want the decision made, not just the location named, Wayfinder Life is a separate purchase — not a discounted upgrade you are funneled toward.

Each path meets a different condition.
Not sure yet which condition is yours, or whether it is even this kind of problem? The two-minute Help Check sorts across therapy, coaching, career help, a bounded decision, and structural orientation before you spend anything.
Is this generated by AI?
AI-assisted in research and drafting. The synthesis, judgment, and final orientation are human-led, and every report is human-reviewed before delivery. The computation layer, meaning chart calculations and cross-system mapping, runs in minutes. The human synthesis is where the day goes. Your report is built from your intake, your chart data, your timing, and the convergence pattern that emerges across the five systems. It is not templated and it is not automated end to end.
What is actually in the eight pages?
Seven sections plus a keepsake orientation card and a Use Protocol. Your current reality written from your own words; each system’s independent read shown separately with its technical basis; a convergence section setting all five side by side; near-term windows with actual calendar dates; and a closing section naming what must end and what is already forming. The report also states plainly what it does not answer.
How do I know the convergence is real and not just interpretation?
Because each system is shown separately before any convergence is claimed, with its technical basis exposed: planetary periods and their date ranges, aspects with orbs and station dates, gate and line, type and authority, cycle numbers and their turn dates. You can read what each method said on its own and judge the agreement yourself. Where the systems disagree, nothing is named.
What happens after checkout?
You receive the intake form immediately. You complete birth data and threshold questions – allow 20–40 minutes. Your report is prepared after intake completion and delivered within 1–2 business days. A 15-minute comprehension call follows delivery to confirm the read and answer what’s unclear — the report and the call together are the complete deliverable.
Can I get Life or Extended later if I start here?
Yes, as a separate purchase. Diagnostic, Life, and Extended are each a complete, standalone instrument — there is no credit or discount between them. Diagnostic is designed to be sufficient on its own; if you later want the decision made or the full architecture mapped, Life or Extended is simply the right instrument for that different job.
Are orders refundable?
Because each Wayfinder report is custom-built from your specific intake and chart data, orders are final once the intake is submitted. If you have questions about fit before purchasing, the intake description on this page is the clearest guide.
